Mary Brand discusses World-Building: It's A Piece of Cake! Layer cake, that is! Whether you write dark paranormal or light and fluffy Regency, she'll show you how to whip up a delicious setting for your story that is truly satisfying. A lover of all things paranormal, Mary is a produced musical theatre playwright and lyricist. In 2003 she brought her original Faust-free frolic, Life is Hell! to the stage.
Masha Holl will present World Wrecking and Story Making: Rules and Rule Breakers. Stories are built on conflict, the more the better. When conflict is not limited to sniping between characters but involves the entire story-world, you end up with a rich plotting environment. So how does one build a world so that it can be broken without destroying your book? Come find out! Her works The Brightest Heaven found in the second Song of the Muses anthology and The Joining are both available through Wild Rose Press.
